LEARN MORE ABOUT TRAUMA INFORMED PRACTICES

Meet MELANIE LEVESQUE

Melanie Lévesque is the Founder of Voices Unbroken, a trauma-informed education and nervous system rehabilitation practice dedicated to helping individuals understand the lasting effects of relational trauma, coercive control, and chronic stress.

A Registered Massage Therapist since 2003, Melanie integrates neuroscience, movement, somatic approaches, and trauma-informed education to help clients restore nervous system regulation, reconnect with their bodies, and move toward meaningful recovery. She specializes in translating trauma into biology—helping people understand not simply what happened to them, but what happened to their nervous system, and how healing is possible.

Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo, a Master of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Professional Master of Education from Queen's University. She also completed postgraduate studies in Research Analysis at Georgian College.

She is a Certified Somatic Coach and a Certified Narcissistic Abuse Specialist through the School of Healing and Growth. Melanie recently completed the Family Mediation Certificate program at York University and is currently completing the required supervision hours toward accreditation as a Family Mediator.

In addition to clinical practice, Melanie is a full-time college professor with significant experience in higher education, curriculum development, research, and healthcare education. She has completed advanced professional development in equity, diversity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice, and is committed to making complex concepts accessible for survivors, professionals, and organizations alike.

Through Voices Unbroken, Melanie provides nervous system rehabilitation, somatic coaching, professional education, workshops, and evidence-informed resources that bridge the gap between trauma science and everyday healing.
